  • Benjamin TeoExecutive Producer, Production

    Benjamin Teo is a producer who has worked on numerous wildlife productions that also includes videos created for WWF-Malaysia. His portfolio includes producing the animation video “The decreasing of Malayan Tiger”, WWF-Malaysia Career in Conservation video and producing the Awareness video “Green office”.

    His achievements include winning the Green Awards and Best Short film Category at the 6th Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival with his partner Justin Wong, which highlights the impact of excessive carbon emission into our atmosphere.

    Benjamin is also a graduate in Film Media and Cultural studies graduate from Middlesex University, London England. He cofounded SCM Asia in 2011 and he has been involved in feature films, production, post-production and digital video contents for Malaysian corporate companies such as Sunway Group, Telenor, iM4U and National Kidney Foundation.

    The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) is one of the first and biggest environmental film festivals in Malaysia. In the last six years, the Festival has reached out to approximately 46,000 Malaysians through its film screenings at selected venues all over the Peninsula.

    Anugerah Hijau, or the Green Awards, is an annual nationwide competition organized by non-profit environmental organization, EcoKnights and its collaborative partners and sponsors. To challenge young adults to be creative and innovative in addressing everyday environmental issues.

    wh2Justin W. co-founded SCM Asia. Justin was the producer/cinematographer of the documentary entitled “Setiu Wetlands: Nature’s Jewel” with WWF-Malaysia, which was screened in conjunction with the World Environment Day. He was also the producer of the animation video “Malaysia’s Protected Areas” and the cinematographer for the awareness video “S.O.S: Save our Seafood”.

    Justin has won numerous awards one of which is project entitled “My Carbon Footprint”. He was awarded winner of the Green Awards 2012, followed by Best Malaysian Short Film Awards, in Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) 2013. The KLEFF is one of the first and biggest environmental film festivals in Malaysia, that has reached out to approximately 46,000 Malaysians through its film screenings at selected venues all over the Peninsula.

    Recently he participated in a wildlife expedition at South Africa and filmed/produced two short documentaries : “Seeding For Future” – About the Seed Bank Eco-enterprise (NGO) at Rocklands Urban Abundance Centre, Cape Town.

    “Goodwill Hunting” – About a wildlife ranger and also a professional hunter, who does wildlife management to balance wildlife ecosystem in South Africa. Seeking to reveal the importance of wildlife management, despite many environmental and animal advocates arguing that it is morally wrong to kill animals, regardless practical considerations.

    Justin recently produced, and directed documentary series Discovering Langkawi with Irshad Mobarak, a ten-episode series exploring the natural history of the enchanting archipelago of Langkawi.

  • J.C NgeohCreative Director, Head of Production

    J.C Ngeoh co-founded SCM Asia Sdn Bhd in 2011. He is a nature enthusiast and has a great passion for adventure. He holds a degree in Film Studies from the University of Middlesex London .

    His credentials includes directing the short film entitled “Yetzer Hara” that was screened at the Cannes film festival, as well as documentaries – “Setiu Wetlands : Nature’s Jewel” and “S.O.S: Save our Seafood” Awareness video for WWF-Malaysia. He also assisted in reproducing Bhutan’s National Tiger Survey video with Tigers Alive Initiative(TAI) in conjunction with International Tigers Day.

    Currently, he is the director for the upcoming documentary “Counting Malayan Tigers” in association with PERHILITAN(Department of Wildlife and National Parks). His role is to investigate potentially endangered species to find out if they’re on the verge of extinction in Malaysia.
